Last week I was drawing portraits with my 16-year-old niece. I used a thick pastel crayon which is quite unforgiving because you easily make mistakes and cannot add much detail. I triggered myself to keep working at it and filled in the background and tried to use more colours like violet and green.
In the end I liked my first version and my niece liked the last version :).
