Lessons learned

After a short holiday I am back in the studio and took up my book on Art by Lisa Congdon.
One of the lessons learned this time is: Be the artist you want to be.

There are a lot of artists out there, so also a lot to compare yourself with.
Due to all the opinions, advice and teachers with certain expectations,
you can easily get lost and forget the type of artist you are, or want to be.

It is good to write down your values and thoughts on this, and stay true to those.
You will then be more confident about the direction you are going and the decisions you have to take.

New neighbours

I have got new neighbours near my studio,
and they are kind of adorable and loud :):

The grass was so long, you could only see their heads sometimes.
But it did not take them long to eat all the flowers and shorten the grass.
So they moved on, but will be back.

Love to have this meadow as my rear view of the studio!

Working on a custom order

I love working on custom orders,
to make an idea come to life,
to CREATE something new.

In the making...

On my desk, my acrylics of Winsor and Newton,
and some happy painting of a still-life.
