New - check out my Etsy-shop

I finally took the plunge to open up an Etsy-shop on the internet. Etsy is a marketplace for all sorts of hand-made products, really inspiring and great for some original gifts. So, now there is one of ZIZO label too. Take a look at

These new set of cards are also available in this shop. The cards are made from a series of black and white paintings I have made.
If you live in the Netherlands and are interested, they are only 0.65 euro a piece.

An unexpected sell!

Last Saturday my studio was open for visitors, and we had a really nice day. A bit cold, but I really enjoyed myself. The thing I like the most is being able to share my thoughts on some of the paintings I am working on. To me it was really stimulating!
Anyways, at the end of the day, I unexpectedly sold this painting. I was thrilled but also found it difficult to see it go... Luckily I made a picture!
While making this painting, I worked totally free, not thinking about restrictions, rules or what other people may say about it. I liked it and that was it! So I think the sell of this painting confirmed to me that I should stick with what I think about it, and that this may appeal to others as well. A good lesson for me.

La douce France!

Just returned from a lovely week in the south of France... sunny and warm there! We've been to a small village called Cantignergues where we often go to spend a week for holiday or for work. This week we were with a large group of people to do all sorts of jobs: collecting wood from the stream, decorating the walls with "crepy", painting all of the woodwork of the windows red and so on... We also enjoyed the companionship of the large group, the really nice views which you find in the south of France... wauw, the silence of the small village and the peace you find here.
