Portrait exercise

I had some paper left, and decided to draw the live model in small portraits.

The format of the paper brought these results:

First a blind contour drawing, and then making it more and more realistic or graphic.

Pink in the garden

Nature is bursting with flowers: our garden is filled with them, and is now mostly yellow and pink.

One week later... in the studio

I worked on the painting some more,

you need to take the time to focus and paint,

which was not so easy this week.

I am not sure whether I think it is finished, 

maybe I'll take out my crayons and give some more depth...

but I always need a little courage for this...
