The first outlines of a small portrait sketch, I just used a coloured pencil and a corner of my sketchbook. Following lines and looking for the right dimensions. An accessory or scarf always gives character to a drawing (and a person :)). Have a nice week!
With the small sketchbooks I ordered last week I made some small gift-packages. Handy and nice to give as a present for the summer holiday. It includes a Talens sketchbook, a black Sharpie-pen, some pictures as inspiration, and a leaflet with ideas to just start using this sketchbook. Sketch every day, even if it is for 5 minutes. This is the new work I have been making, small art. Inspired by our magnolia tree which was in full bloom some weeks ago. It is a beautiful sight. I made a base with acrylic paint and then added more depth with coloured pencils. You can find the finished pieces in my ETSY-shop and studio (sorry SOLD!).

These sketchbooks by Talens are very handy, so I bought some stock for myself but also for some gift-packages I am making. In the meantime I have been making some new work and it involved acrylic paint and colourpencils :). Soon to be found in my ETSY-shop.
My eyes are on windows, European windows, what differences are there between the countries? Well a lot... and it is fun to figure them out.
This cabin in the mountains chose a bright blue for their shutters, and well... I like it, against the brown, white and greens.
