Creative life: maker's fair

A craft fair on an industrial location: Creative Life 2018.

Graphic design, botanical art, diy, etsy etc. all together on one location,

so many makers to visit. It was really nice!

Moss inspiration

Nature inspires by colour, shapes, tones, colour combinations, 

even sounds like the whispering of the leaves.

I like the close-ups of mosses.

Here it is combined with blue paint, a nice colour combination:

In the same museum I found this portrait of a Dutch labourer,

I quite like the style. It is painted by Willem van den Berg (1886-1970).

Dutch folk art

There is quite a variety of folk art in the Netherlands,

however we often forget about them.

I visited a museum this weekend which showed the ordinary life of 

fishermen in the beginning of the 20th Century (around 1920), it is called Zuiderzeemuseum.

People put a lot of effort into making ordinary items into treasuries for life.

So.... great was my surpise to find a group of these birds outside my studio...

They are quite active birds, never sit still,

so after watching them for some time I took my camera and made some shots,

and because of the poor quality... the pictures look like paintings:
