I like making cards, and I like giving them with special occasions.

It is just that personal touch.

These were lavender plants for a wedding aniversary,

so I added one of my party garland cards:

Meanwhile there are these two colours of cotton waiting to be turned into something new.

I bought the colours in Sweden, in a very small knitting shop in a coastal village.

Inspiration from a book by Betty Soldi

Betty Soldi wrote a nice book on Handlettering and Calligraphy called : Feel Inkspired.

It is full of beautiful pictures and inspiration. She also gives tips and tricks for your own inspiration.

I have always liked working with paper and words,

learning calligraphy from my grandmother.

So I really liked the book. 

There are many books on handlettering, I found this one to be creative in ideas and pictures.

Vintage find: Talens pastel crayons...

Lucky to find two of these pastel crayon boxes.

It is by a Dutch brand Talens. The quality is still good, so I will happily be using these again.

I like making portraits with these.
