Trying to make an impressionistic version...

Result of my attempt to make an impressionistic version of a picture I took in the autumn of last year. The heather was in full bloom making it a colourful picture.

The others tried their best as well, and pictures were taken to be inspired by each other.

And furthermore: I have planned a series of workshops and put the information on my website, so anyone who wants to enjoy painting or drawing is welcome to join! Only practice can take you that one step further!

Today you find more and more online magazines, and this is a really nice one. The styling and creativity are just really made with care. And if you focus on colour use, you see a really nice balance.

Sun, sun!

Sunshine and about 10 degrees Celsius, wow, I must be inspired to make this painting. I have made a lot of paintings recently to show at the Home decor Fair "Wonen&Co" in the Netherlands. My booth is probably too small for them!

ADAD# 28: in blue

I really like this colour blue (waterpaint), it reminded me of the Dutch blue tiles, so I made some.

Today is the last day of my project A Drawing A Day, I must say I found it pretty difficult to find inspiration to draw something, you tend to draw the same thing and I like variety.

But looking back on my drawings I see that I did discover some new possibilities, and above all that drawing is all about doing and practising.

ADAD #27: snowdrops, nice word

Today I painted the whole day in the studio, I also made a quick study of snowdrops (sneeuwklokjes in Dutch).

My neighbour is also longing for springtime, and has started in his vegetable garden. 

I took a  peek and made some pictures.

ADAD #26: more controlled poppies

This is a pencil drawing, using several layers. I like the shape of dried poppy flowers, I have these amazing pink ones in my garden, just waiting for summer to see them again.

I was looking for a picture of them but could not find it, I came across this one though: an acer bush in our garden which is on fire in the autumn. Isn't it amazing?
