Yesterday I have been working at a life-size painting, I liked it a lot!

But down o the small drawing work:

A small sketch, using three colours of pencil at once, I like the effect.

Here, I used the pencil on its side shaping this model.

Just the simple pen you use for writing makes a nice drawing tool for small portraits.

While preparing some lessons for children I drew some animals myself.

I love to use an old watercolour box to experiment.

These rabbits and bird appeared:

It does not always turn out the way you want, but experimenting helps me to find new ways of colour combination or drawing methods.

It is already February again! Time for my yearly project of making a drawing a day.

This is the first one:

Made with a fineliner and colourpencil.

Drawing a shape and then colouring can be very relaxing.

I thought about colour use and how to use your pencil in various ways.

This year started with a nice assignment to deliver 100 cards,

I used my paintbrush to make them.

I have designed these colour-yourself cards of landscapes,

you can find them in my Etsy-shop.

You can colour or paint them, and use them as gift-tags.

I used them for some cards.

Leaflet for the drawing lessons

In February I will give drawing lessons on a primary school,

within a weekend these classes are almost fully booked! So nice... lots of enthusiastic children.

In March I will be giving some drawing lessons in my own studio.

It is a cooperation with our local community to make art lessons accessible to children.

In the meantime I am sketching models at the Academy and doodling for fun at my desk.

Oh oh, the weather is really stormy at the moment. I got totally drenched this

morning on my bike to the studio. Even my socks and shoes were dripping.

I made some coffee, put the radio on and started some projects:
